Goalkeeper Beto has announced that he is leaving Europa League champions Sevilla this summer.

The 34-year-old departs the La Liga side after three-and-a-half years during which he won three Europa League titles.

"Today is a very sad day for me," Beto wrote in a farewell letter published on Sevilla's website, as he thanked the club and the town of Seville for their welcome.

Lamenting a 2015-2016 campaign hampered by injuries, Beto said he had been "lucky to have experienced a golden period at FC Sevilla" - winning three Europa League titles, to add to the one he achieved with FC Porto in 2011.
