Denis Suarez has been left out of the Barcelona squad for Wednesday’s Copa del Rey game against Sevilla amid links with a loan move to Arsenal.
The Spanish midfielder has spent much of the season on the bench at the Nou Camp and Barca manager Ernesto Valverde has admitted the player could leave this month.
"We are happy with the squad but there are always possibilities for departures for those who maybe do not feature as often," said Valverde on Tuesday.
"Those players could stay here and we would be happy or they could leave in search of more opportunities, we will evaluate all possibilities for them.
"I don't think there will be any more arrivals. It is true - it is possible that Denis will leave but I don't know what will happen. (Kevin-Prince) Boateng has come in because Munir (El Haddadi) went out."
If Suarez does join Arsenal he will be reunited with Unai Emery who managed the 25-year-old during his loan spell at Sevilla in the 2014/15 season.
