How Barcelona defied 200/1 odds to stun PSG in Champions League

Barcelona defied Sky Bet's in-play odds of 200/1 to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League, after a stunning 6-5 aggregate victory over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

The Catalan giants went into the game with a mountain to climb and were 8/1 prior to kick-off at the Nou Camp, as they looked to overcome a 4-0 defeat in the French capital three weeks ago.

No side had ever overturned such a deficit in the history of the competition, and Luis Enrique's team were pushed out to 66/1 to win the Champions League ahead of what proved to be one of the greatest comebacks of all time.

Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi scored either side of a Layvin Kurzawa own goal to make it 4-3 on aggregate, but Edinson Cavani's away goal in the 62nd minute seemed to have secured PSG's progress.

The game then appeared to be petering out, with Barca available at 200/1 to make it through to the quarter-finals, until Neymar stepped up in the 88th minute and fired a brilliant free-kick into the top corner.

The Brazilian then took responsibility from the penalty spot after Suarez was fouled, prior to which the qualification odds had drifted back out to 100/1 from 66/1.

And the famous win was completed deep into injury-time as Sergi Roberto netted with almost the last kick of the match.
