Lionel Messi passed the 300 mark for La Liga goals with his double for Barcelona against Sporting Gijon on Wednesday night.
The Argentine has now scored 301 times in 334 La Liga appearances for the Catalans since making his debut as a 17-year-old in 2004.
Here, we recall his goalscoring milestones - starting with his first league goal against Albacete in May 2005...
1st goal - v Albacete (May 1, 2005)
Messi's first goal for Barcelona came against Albacete two months before his 18th birthday in May 2005. It was a stylish way to open his account, latching onto Ronaldinho's scooped pass before chipping a clever finish over the advancing goalkeeper and celebrating wildly with his team-mates.
50th goal - v Malaga (March 22, 2009)
Messi reached his half-century of La Liga goals with a brilliant strike against Malaga. After controlling Xavi's pass on his chest on the right flank, he charged into the box, beat two defenders and fired a high, right-footed finish into the roof of the net.
100th goal - v Almeria (November 20, 2010)
Pedro was the provider of No 100 away to Almeria in 2010. Messi released the Spaniard down the right wing before collecting his return pass in the opposition's penalty box. His initial effort was blocked by the goalkeeper but he made no mistake with the rebound to give Barcelona a 5-0 lead after just 36 minutes.
150th goal - v Sevilla (March 17, 2012)
Messi's 150th was another work of art. The Argentine exchanged passes with Andres Iniesta at the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium before nutmegging Sevilla defender Emir Spahic and dinking a perfectly-weighted finish over goalkeeper Andres Palop.
200th goal - v Osasuna (January 27, 2013)
No 200 came in a 5-1 demolition of Osasuna at the Nou Camp. Messi collected the ball in the centre circle before swapping passes with David Villa and firing a low finish past the goalkeeper. It was his hat-trick goal on the night and he went on to add a fourth.
250th goal - v Eibar (October 18, 2014)
Messi's 250th La Liga goal was another beauty at the Nou Camp. He collected Dani Alves' pass inside Eibar's half before darting past two defenders, playing a one-two with Neymar and firing a low, diagonal finish in off the far post.
300th goal - v Sporting Gijon (February 17, 2015)
Messi became the first player in history to reach 300 La Liga goals with a deflected long-range strike against strugglers Sporting Gijon at El Molinon.
