Unai Emery has warned Paris Saint-Germain against complacency after they hammered Barcelona in their Champions League last-16 tie.

The Ligue 1 champions inflicted Barca's joint-worst defeat in European competition, taking a giant stride towards the quarter-finals with a 4-0 win at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday.

After only the second victory over Barca in 23 attempts as a manager, Emery felt PSG proved a point against the five-time European champions.

Barca will have to make history if they are to progress at PSG's expense - no side has overturned a four-goal first-leg deficit in the Champions League.

Despite this, Emery stressed a degree of caution ahead of the return leg at the Nou Camp, urging his side to prepare for 90 minutes of suffering.

"The only feeling I have is that the team had huge effort, and it paid off if we consider the great work of Barcelona," he said.

"And also, thanks to the great talent of our players and their ability to respond. We proved something today but I will keep on paying the same respect to Barcelona.
