Hatem Ben Arfa has been backed to return to the Paris St-Germain side by team-mates Adrien Rabiot and Thiago Motta.
The former Newcastle midfielder, who joined PSG from Nice in the summer, has been left out of the squad for the last three games in a row.
Earlier this month, PSG head coach Unai Emery said he expected more from Ben Arfa.
But midfielder Thiago Motta says the 29-year-old is 'doing his job as a PSG player'.
"We all want him to be the Hatem we saw last season, as he did very well with Nice," said Motta after Tuesday's 3-0 win over Dijon. "There is a team and he is part of that team. We will support Hatem until the end.

"It is not easy for the coach to make his decisions. Hatem, the advice I can give him, is to continue to work hard. He is a great player and he showed that last season. He will get more opportunities."
Adrien Rabiot said Ben Arfa remains in good spirits despite not being involved for the last three matches.
"He still came to see us this evening in the dressing room, to say congratulations," he commented. "He was smiling. I can tell you that things are going well.
"Of course it cannot be easy to be snubbed like that and unable to participate with your team-mates. He is a guy who works hard, though, and when he gets his chance I have no doubt he will deliver."
PSG are in action again on Friday as they travel to Toulouse in Ligue 1.
