Paris Saint-Germain clinched the Ligue 1 title without kicking a ball as second-placed Lille could only draw 0-0 at Toulouse on Sunday.
Lille had to win to have any chance of catching PSG, but the Paris club are now 16 points ahead of their only rival with five matches left after this weekend.
After missing the chance to clinch the title in their past three games, drawing one and losing two, PSG were left to celebrate the eighth title in their history ahead of a home game against Monaco later on Sunday.
It is PSG's sixth title in the last seven seasons, with only Monaco in 2017 breaking their spell of dominance.
Although the title was long expected from a side scoring 92 goals in their 32 games so far, it came later than it should have. A 2-2 at home to Strasbourg saw their first opportunity slip through their fingers, before a 5-1 defeat at Lille last week provided their heaviest defeat since their Qatari owners took over in 2011.
A win away to Nantes would have sufficed on Wednesday night too, only for PSG to lose 3-2.
The 10 goals conceded in those three games made for PSG's worst defensive record across a three-game spell since 1985.
Elsewhere on Sunday, striker Kalifa Coulibaly scored twice as Nantes did little to aid 17th-placed Amiens' relegation fears with a 3-2 win.
