Kilmarnock have signed Dom Thomas from Motherwell on a three-year contract.
The 21-year-old winger started six games and made 33 substitute appearances for Well but was loaned out to Queen of the South in the final few months of last season.
A Motherwell statement read: "With his contract due to expire at the end of the current campaign, the club has allowed the player to move to Rugby Park, but has protected its interests with a sizeable sell-on clause."
Fir Park boss Stephen Robinson said: "I wanted to have a look at Dom over the first few weeks of pre-season, but he expressed a desire to move on.
"This deal allows the lad to try and advance his career but also protects Motherwell's interests in the longer term, so it suits all parties."
Meanwhile, Motherwell striker Louis Moult has revealed contract talks are at a standstill.
The 25-year-old was the subject of a failed bid from Aberdeen and Motherwell had been hoping to persuade him to extend his contract beyond next summer.
He said: "It's kind of stood still a little bit. I think the negotiations started at Christmas. A lot has gone one since then, Mark McGhee left, Stephen Robinson came in, a lot of new players came in.
"My mind is fully focused on getting back fit and scoring goals, whether that's here or somewhere else. At the minute it's going to be here and I'll be happy."
