Kenny McDowall praised youngster Lewis Macleod who played a starring role as Rangers hammered Falkirk 4-0 at Ibrox.
The youngster scored one and provided an assist for another, which follows his call up to the national squad earlier in the week.
And assistant manager McDowall said: "He's had great news with his addition to the Scotland squad and you could tell that.
"He is scoring goals and enjoying his football. He handles the situation really well. Even when he came in to us at 16, it didn't faze him.
“So I wouldn't expect him to join up with the Scotland squad and be fazed by it. He will handle it."
Saturday’s victory leaves Rangers four points behind Scottish Championship leaders Hearts and McDowall added: “You can only win one game at a time and that's what we are doing.
"I think we are settling down a bit. The clean sheets are great but I think we are doing better in front of goal as well.
“We are kiling teams off now whereas before it was a wee bit of a toil sometimes."
His opposite number at Falkirk, Peter Houston, was disappointed with the attitude of his players.
Houston said: "After 60 minutes or so I certainly had the belief we could get something. I'm not quite sure the players on the park had the same belief.
"We had a throw-in 16 yards from their bye-line, we gave away cheap possession and five or six seconds later it's two-nil to Rangers.
"It's from then on that disappointed me even more. At two-nil down you still have an opportunity to get back into the match but I felt we folded a bit. Mentally and physically, Rangers were stronger than us.
"We have some players who have never played here before and it must have got to them."
The hosts netted three times during the final 21 minutes.
