Graeme Murty has admitted he struggled to enjoy being back in the dugout in his caretaker role as Rangers beat Hearts at the weekend.
The U20 boss stepped into the Ibrox role on an interim basis for the second time in less than a year last week after Pedro Caixinha was sacked.
Murty guided Rangers to a 3-1 win over Hearts at Murrayfield on Saturday but admitted that while he was "satisfied" with the result and display, he failed to really enjoy the experience as he continued to fret over his match preparation and the game unfolding in front of him.
He told rangers.co.uk: "No. I was always wanting to know if I had done enough - had I covered that in pre-match? Had I done this, had I done that?
"I eventually managed to let it go and let the players go and do their thing, and trust the players to go and carry it out. But, on the sidelines, it is always a test for the emotions.
"I didn't enjoy it, but I was satisfied by it, and I thought there were a couple of passages of play, even in the first half when we were down, that eased me a little bit as I thought we had it and we were going to come good.
"So, although it wasn't enjoyable, it was satisfying."
