Rangers manager Mark Warburton has called on his players to enjoy Saturday's Old Firm clash against Celtic.
The two sides have not played each other in the league for four years, but in April, Rangers beat Celtic in the William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final.
However, Rangers have since re-shaped their squad, with Warburton bringing in 12 new additions after securing a place in the top tier of Scottish football.
"We have to enjoy it, and if you don't enjoy these games, then our recruitment is wrong in terms of having the wrong type of players coming to the club, and they shouldn't be playing football," Warburton told the club's website.
"If you can look back in years to come and say you were involved in this sort of game, especially one where there hasn't been a league Old Firm game for a few years now, that's great, and the interest is obvious throughout the UK and globally too.
"Players have to enjoy it and go into the game relishing the challenge - respecting it - but enjoying it and looking forward to it.
"Our recruitment has been good, and we have a number of players with big game experience and a number more who are hungry to be involved in this fixture. We are looking forward to it."
Warburton has been dealt a blow ahead of the derby clash, which will air live on Sky Sports, as newly signed striker Joe Dodoo has been ruled out of action for up to five weeks after sustaining an injury against Kilmarnock.
But the Rangers side, who won the Scottish Championship by 11 points last season, have been boosted with the signings of Joey Barton and Philippe Senderos during the summer transfer window.
Both could make their Glasgow derby debut on Saturday, and former Rangers striker Gordon Smith says Senderos has the potential to play a key role in the Old Firm clash.
