Celtic have had a second bid of £375,000 for goalkeeper Trevor Carson rejected by Motherwell, Sky sources understand.
The bid was placed just before Celtic's game with Hearts as Brendan Rodgers looks for cover for the injured Craig Gordon, who could be sidelined for up to three months.
The Hoops have already seen a £250,000 bid for Motherwell goalkeeper Carson turned down by their Scottish Premiership counterparts.
Celtic are also pondering a move for Dundee's Scott Bain, and after Tuesday's 3-1 win over Hearts Rodgers was quizzed about his interest in the goalkeeper, who is currently on loan at Hibernian.
Rodgers said: "I will need to speak to Peter (Lawwell, chief executive). Nothing has changed from before the game, we want to bring in another goalkeeper.
"There was a lot of names fired at us, agents doing lots of work. There are lots of names. I could sit here all day and go through the names fired at us. He (Bain) is one of many that has been mentioned.
"We will have one in by end of play by tomorrow (Wednesday)."
Celtic have also been linked with fourth-choice Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan and Arsenal's Emiliano Martinez.
