Celtic skipper Scott Brown is seeing a specialist over an Achilles problem but he is confident he will be passed fit to face Linfield on Friday.
The Scotland midfielder limped off just half an hour into Saturday's 9-0 friendly win at Shamrock Rovers.
But he expects to face Northern Irish champions Linfield in Friday's opening Champions League qualifier at Windsor Park after receiving treatment and insists the squad is better prepared than they were at the same stage 12 months ago.
He told the Celtic website: "I'll be fine. Just a slight wee problem, but nothing to worry about.
"It's going to be physical, it's going to be a battle. They will want to make it a battle because of the way we play football and they're going to try and stop us and close us down early doors.
"Everyone is in a better condition this year than what we were last year. We're looking a lot more sharper, we scored nine goals as well in our last game so it shows we're finding our feet and we're finding it quickly."
Meanwhile, Celtic are understood to be closing in on the signing of Manchester City midfielder Olivier Ntcham.
The 21-year-old has been in Glasgow for talks over the weekend and is believed to be close to finalising a deal.
The France U21 international has been on loan at Genoa for the past two seasons, where he made 37 appearances for the Serie A team.
Patrick Roberts recently returned to Manchester City after a highly-productive 18-month loan spell in Glasgow, playing a key role in the treble-winning exploits of last season.
