A pair of Celtic fans are rolling back 50 years and all the way to Lisbon in a Hillman Imp in memory of the club's European Cup win.
Cousins Martin Coyle and Barry Sweeney are embarking on a 1,800-mile road trip in just six days to retrace the journey made by a group of journalists and photographers from Glasgow before Celtic's historic victory in 1967.
The vintage car, bought in Portugal, is very similar to the vehicle used all those years ago by, among others, former Scottish Daily Express reporter James Maguire - who was even present to send the history-chasing duo off on Thursday.
"We're trying recapture a bit of that spirit and the sense of adventure," said Coyle. "In 1967 not a lot of people travelled abroad like that so it must have been a big deal."
The car actually set fire on a test-run recently, but the pair remain confident a lion-hearted effort will see them hit Lisbon by the 50th anniversary of the final win on Thursday - and just in time to watch Celtic's Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen on May 27, live on Sky Sports 1 HD.
"Features-wise there's not a lot to it, the windows go up and down and it changes gears, stops, starts," joked Sweeney. "The air-con is the windows going up and down."
