Craig Gordon is hoping his first taste of the Champions League group stage will be a memorable one as Celtic prepare to welcome a rampant Manchester City to a sold-out Celtic Park.
The Hoops are aiming to bounce back from their humiliating 7-0 defeat away at Barcelona in their opening group match - the club's worst ever loss in European competition.
But they face a tough task on Wednesday against City, who have won all 10 of their matches under new manager Pep Guardiola and have scored 30 goals in the process.
Gordon is aiming to make his debut in the full Champions League, having previously played for Hearts in the qualification stages in 2006, and wants to be savouring victory at the full-time whistle rather than just ticking a box.
The 33-year-old - who is hoping to get the nod to start ahead of injury doubt Dorus de Vries - told Celtic TV: "It's a huge game. We didn't do too well in the last one and we want to put that right. We want a better performance, especially at home.
"We want to go out there and give it a right good go. Especially with these fans behind us, we are always going to give ourselves a chance against anybody.
"It will be nice to get everybody back here. It's always difficult away from home in the Champions League, we know that.
"It will be my first taste of an actual Champions League game here and I'll be desperate to get a start. But whatever happens it's going to be a great occasion. But we want to do our jobs and take something from the game."
