Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney has signed a new five-year contract.
The new deal represents a 12-month extension and improved terms on the four-year deal the teenager agreed last summer, shortly after his first-team debut.
Tierney has since been named Scotland's Young Player of the Year and has been widely linked with a close-season move to Arsenal.
But he said. "For me my future was only here so I'm delighted. There was no thought of leaving. Last year was a breakthrough season, so I need to prove myself again and hold my place down.
"The word I used last season was 'crazy' and it still feels crazy now. I only signed a four-year deal in August so to sign a new one is great.
"Everybody's expectations will be high but as a football player at Celtic, you need to deal with that and I hope I can."
The 19-year-old has already impressed new Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers, who saw his players return for pre-season training this week.
"I saw in the first two days I was in charge that Kieran Tierney will be a top player," said Rodgers, quoted in the Daily Record. "Probably before the start of last season no-one would have heard of him.
"But I can tell you that I know from my experience of working in England in the middle section and at the top end of the league, that this kid will be a top player. For sure. Absolutely 100 per cent he will be."
Tierney made 34 appearances last season and earned a first Scotland cap in March's friendly against Denmark.
