Celtic majority shareholder Dermot Desmond thinks Ronny Deila is the right man to lead the side despite their early exit from the Champions League.

Cole picked up a knock at the club's Lennoxtown training complex on Tuesday but the Hoops manager played down its significance.

Deila said: "Carlton got knock at training. We have to see what injury it is and how long he is going to be out.

"We don't think it is a big one. He will still train with us and we will see what is happening.

"But we are still talking. The last game he played was at the end of May so whatever happens, it is not a short-term thing, like he will be going in and be fantastic for Celtic at once.
