Jim Duffy believes his Greenock Morton side were made to pay for missing a number of crucial chances in a 2-1 loss at Rangers in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.
Aiden Nesbitt and Luke Donnelly both missed clear-cut chances for the visitors in the second half and Duffy admits his side were punished heavily by their Premiership opponents.
"We had two fantastic chances," he said. "I thought Aiden had a terrific match. He puts in a lot of work - a lot of times he's isolated - but I thought we scored an outstanding goal through Michael Tidser.
"And then we had those two fantastic chances. If you get chances like that at Ibrox you've got to take one of them.
"That's the most disappointing thing, that we weren't able to do that. Overall, I can't complain about the performance - I thought we played some good stuff at times."
Morton managed to frustrate Rangers for large periods of the game on Sunday afternoon and Duffy was pleased with the commitment of his players.
"We've got a young side but they've got great belief in each, they work hard for each other, were organised and we know no matter who we play, we're always going to give them a game," he said.
"We put an awful lot into the game. You can ask to make the game uncomfortable and difficult for Rangers and I think we did do that but ultimately it's about winning cup ties."
