The chief executive of the Scottish FA says the behaviour of certain fans at the Old Firm match on Saturday "is not acceptable".

The hosts romped to a 5-1 victory over their great rivals at Celtic Park but there were worrying scenes off the pitch.

Effigies and banners appeared in the stands while Celtic have launched an investigation after a toilet in the area housing the away fans was vandalised.

SFA boss Stewart Regan says there is no place for such behaviour in football and wants action to be taken.

Regan told Sky Sports News HQ: "Areas of misbehaviour, unacceptable conduct, call it what you will, in my opinion have got no place in the game.

"I have seen the pictures on TV and in the newspapers, of effigies being hung up in the stands, and also evidence of banners being displayed and toilets being trashed.

"That has got no place in modern football, it is not acceptable, and it is something I hope the whole of Scottish football will take seriously and try and do something about it."
