New Boston chief has 'vision'

Barrie Pierpoint is optimistic he can safeguard Boston's long-term future.

New Boston United chief executive Barrie Pierpoint is optimistic he can safeguard the club's long-term future.

Boston are set to enter a company voluntary arrangement which will see them docked ten points as a punishment.

Standing Alone Limited want to buy the club and are employing Pierpoint in the hope he will steady The Pilgrims' ship.

Boston could be playing Conference football next season, but Pierpoint has revealed a 'vision' for the club.

"I turned Leicester around and I'm not saying I'm going to be Boston's saviour, but I have a vision and I want to make it happen," he said.

"Hopefully, Standing Alone can come in and take over the club and we can start all over again once we know what division the club will be playing in next season."
