Kevin Harper gave Walsall the lead at The Bescot Stadium after 21 minutes, but Accrington hit back to take the lead through Paul Mullin (25) and Robbie Williams (65).

Darlington's chances of taking anything from their trip to Barnet were hit with a double blow in the opening five minutes as Tommy Wright was dismissed and Dean Sinclair scored for the home side.

David Wheater did level for Darlington after 22 minutes but Liam Heath's finish after 52 minutes secured the points for Barnet.

Wrexham and Mansfield played out a goalless draw in the day's final game.
