Notts County boss Kevin Nolan believes "awful decisions" cost his side in their League Two play-off semi-final defeat to Coventry.
Nolan's side were on the wrong end of several controversial decisions over the course of the two legs as Coventry ran out 4-1 winners at Meadow Lane on Friday night and 5-2 victors on aggregate to reach Wembley.
A devastated Nolan said: "It's nothing down to my players or me, it's down to the people in the middle of the park who you're hoping to trust to get the major decisions right. Awful decisions cost us tonight.
"[Jonathan] Forte is onside by a mile, he's got that totally wrong, then the lad facing the linesman [is offside], he's got that completely wrong.
"Between both of them, they've cost us dearly. We had momentum and I feel we would have gone on because we had Coventry pinned back. But they've knocked the wind out of us again and I'm absolutely gutted for my lads.
"That's why we should have the best doing this now. The Premier League and Championship are finished so we should have those referees doing our games.
"You give a penalty in the last minute which was totally not a penalty then we've got to try and force the game tonight. You could see we were building some real momentum and I think [Coventry] have got away with it."
