Lincoln were pegged back by two stunning late goals from Ilias Chair as they were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw with Stevenage.
The Imps looked set to extend their lead at the top to four points after two goals from Bruno Andrade, but a pair of magnificent efforts from Chair in the 87th minute and then in added time meant the leaders had to settle for a point.
Lincoln, whose lead is down to two points after a fourth successive draw, made a dream start to the second half, taking the lead on 48 minutes through Andrade, who did brilliantly to rise and head home a cross from Danny Rowe.
With 19 minutes left, Andrade struck again to double his side's advantage with a superb angled drive which flew into the far corner.
Chair finally got the goal his performance deserved when he curled a fabulous effort beyond keeper Grant Smith.
The equaliser arrived deep into added time when Chair scored with a jaw-dropping strike from out wide on the right.
After the goal, Stevenage boss Dino Maamria sprinted half the length of the pitch to celebrate with the travelling fans before being shown a red card by the referee and sent to the stands.
