Hartlepool have completed the signing of defender Adam Jackson on a one-month loan from Middlesbrough.
Jackson, who had previously spent time on loan at Coventry this season, will go straight into the squad for Saturday's FA Cup game against Cheltenham.
The deal will boost boss Ronnie Moore's options on the same day fellow defender Harry Worley was ruled out for up to 14 weeks with an ankle injury.
Worley has been told he requires surgery after sustaining the injury in a reserve game against Burnley at the end of September.
