Danny Hylton scored a hat-trick as Luton knocked Morecambe off top spot in Sky Bet League Two with a 4-1 win over Wycombe.
The 27-year-old put in-form Luton ahead in just the 10th minute, and they would have been two up had Cameron McGeehan scored his penalty in the first half.
Hylton struck again to extend the lead in the second half but Matt Bloomfield hit back for the visitors to force a nervous end to the game. But when Luton won a penalty late on Hylton grabbed hold of the ball to score his first hat-trick in three and a half years and then set up Jordan Cook for their fourth to seal the win.
Liam Kelly gave Leyton Orient an unlikely lead against high-flying Morecambe at the Globe Arena - who had a 100 per cent home record before Orient's visit.
Kevin Ellison, 37, scored his third league goal in as many games to pull Morecambe level with a right-footed shot from outside of the box just after half-time.
But Jordan Bowery restored Orient's advantage in the 55th minute to fire Orient into the play-off positions and spoil the home side's good start to the season with a 2-1 win.
Exeter City claimed a 3-2 thriller away at Colchester to lift them out of the bottom two. Robbie Simpson put Exeter ahead after eight minutes but the away side's lead did not last long as Sammie Szmodics fired low into the bottom left corner to bring things level almost immediately.
Kurtis Guthrie then put Colchester ahead after a corner but Ollie Watkins scored his first goal in 10 games to make it 2-2.
Substitute Joel Grant had only been on the pitch three minutes before he slid in at the back post to give Exeter their third goal and just their second win of the season.
Stevenage had never lost to Hartlepool but an early goal from Nathan Thomas put them on the back foot early on, but a second-half collapse saw Stevenage keep their record in tact with a 6-1 win.
Tom Pett brought Stevenage level before Tyler Walker scored a spectacular overhead kick on his Stevenage debut after joining on loan from Nottingham Forest. Dean Wells made it 3-1 from a Michael Tongue corner and Walker made it two debut goals to give Stevenage their fourth of the game.
Tongue stepped up from the spot to make it five, before Matt Godden finished off the six-goal rout late on.
Crewe's top scorer Ryan Lowe headed the hosts in front early in the first half against Doncaster at Gresty Road. The home side led until eight minutes from time when Tommy Rowe finally levelled for Doncaster.
However, Crewe's James Jones scored the winner three minutes from time to clinch a 2-1 victory to move them 10th in the league, while Doncaster drop to sixth.
Sonny Bradley scored a 92nd minute winner for Plymouth to see off Cheltenham 1-0 and earn Aygyle a fifth straight win, keeping them in the top three.
At Fratton Park a first ever league double from Curtis Main and a Gary Roberts strike put Portsmouth in complete control from the outset against Crawley as they cruised to a 3-0 win, while Cambridge could only manage a 0-0 draw away at Mansfield to keep them rooted to the bottom of the table.
Grimsby let a two-goal lead slip to draw 2-2 away at Notts County. Shaun Pearson scored his first league goal in 17 months for Grimsby and Omar Bogle made it two in the second-half with a toe-poke from close range.
However, Jonathan Forte hit his first goal of his fourth spell at Notts County to pull one back, and despite Michael O'Connor's missed penalty a late Aaron Collins goal stole a point for the home side.
Accrington had not won at Carlisle since 1956 but came close with a 1-1 draw at Brunton Park. Billy Kee put the away side in front in the 58th minute before Nicky Adams scored a superb individual first goal for Carlisle as the home side maintained their run of scoring in each of their last nine games.
Blackpool won 3-0 away at Yeovil thanks to two goals from Colin Daniel and a third from Armand Gnanduillet, leaving Yeovil second-bottom.
Elsewhere, it took 23 seconds for John Akinde to score his fourth of the season for Barnet at Newport, but the game was abandoned two minutes after half-time due to a waterlogged pitch.
