Chesterfield have boosted their squad with the signing of Liverpool goalkeeper Ryan Fulton on a season-long loan deal.
The 20-year-old has come up through the youth ranks at Anfield after joining the club nine years ago and spent the second half of last season on loan at Portsmouth where he made 12 appearances and helped them reach the League Two play-offs.
At 6ft 3in, the Scotland youth international joins Danny Wilson's squad as they build ahead of the new campaign which gets under way in four weeks.
Fulton has been brought in to cover Spireites No 1 Tommy Lee, who will miss the start of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery.
A statement on the club's official website read: "The Spireites have moved to lessen their goalkeeper shortage by signing Liverpool goalkeeper Ryan Fulton on a season-long loan deal.
"The 20-year-old has travelled to Hungary for the training camp, joining his new team-mates as they continue their pre-season preparations."
Fulton joins fellow new signings Reece Mitchell, Paul McGinn, Jon Nolan, Ched Evans and Kristian Dennis at Chesterfield.
