Eddie Howe believes Bournemouth's 2-2 draw at Liverpool on Wednesday shows how much they have improved in recent months.
Benik Afobe gave the Cherries an early lead at Anfield, only for Philippe Coutinho and Divock Origi to reply for the hosts either side of half-time.
But Josh King scored an 87th-minute equaliser as Bournemouth snatched a draw that moves them seven points clear of the relegation zone.
"It's an outstanding point," Howe told Sky Sports. "We really battled, we didn't play the free-flowing football that we would have liked but we dug in, made it difficult for them and I thought we deserved the point.
"It's a sign that the group is maturing and getting better. Our mentality is different to a couple of months ago.
"We would have probably lost that game then, but now we are a bit stronger and scored a great goal to equalise."
As well as beating Liverpool at home earlier in the season, Bournemouth have now drawn at Anfield and also Manchester United.
And Howe added: "We were strong at the end and had a lot of possession. Even though we didn't have a lot of chances the one we did get we took.
"When you are 2-1 down, you have to keep believing, keep the focus that you can score. We did that and that will further enhance us in further games."
