Reading have agreed a deal to take Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban on loan until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old had been linked with a move to Leeds United, but will now link up with promotion rivals Reading.
Jaap Stam's Royals sit third in the Championship table, one point ahead of fourth-placed Leeds.
Grabban has not featured for Bournemouth in the Premier League since appearing as a substitute in the first three matches of the campaign.
The forward is in his second spell with Bournemouth, after re-signing for the club last January in a £7m deal on a three-and-a-half-year deal following an 18-month spell with Norwich City, but has yet to find the net since returning to The Vitality Stadium.
Callum Wilson and Benik Afobe are Eddie Howe's preferred options up front for Bournemouth.
