Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is targeting improvements from his side after a second successive Premier League defeat.
The Cherries suffered a 3-0 loss to league leaders Chelsea on Boxing Day, with Pedro scoring either side of an Eden Hazard penalty.
The result sees Bournemouth drop to 13th in the table, having come off the back of a 3-1 defeat to Southampton last weekend, and Howe is looking for a response as the new year rolls around.
"I'm looking to keep improving and to make sure you don't stand still in this league because if you do, you're going to lose games so it is vitally important that we respond against Swansea in our next match," Howe told Sky Sports.
"I thought we were well in the game. Obviously their quality was shown by their first goal which came out of nothing really that put us on the back foot but we responded really well to create a number of good chances which we didn't take and unfortunately for us, the second goal is the decisive moment in the game.
"We saw a lot of the ball. That was part of our idea to see as much of the ball as we could and frustrate them. Certain elements of that worked but we were a little bit careless in possession sometimes and certainly the players they have on the counter-attack and the threat they have, that's not idea.
"In the main though, I thought we coped well but the key moments in the game went against us."
Chelsea broke a club record with their 12th consecutive Premier League victory and Howe believes they have a great chance of being crowned champions in May.
"The top teams are very strong this year, there's no doubt about that," he added. "There are a whole host of clubs who are looking to win the league and Chelsea [are] quite rightly at the top of the league at the moment.
"I thought they were very efficient today, they took their chances very well and in the main, they defended well enough to keep us at bay so I think they have a great chance."
