Nathan Ake has joined Bournemouth on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
Ake, who can play at left-back or in midfield, will give Cherries boss Eddie Howe options as they embark on a second season in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Watford, playing 28 games and scoring one goal, and featured in the FA Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace at Wembley.
He joined Chelsea's youth set-up from Feyenoord as a 15-year-old in 2010 and made his first team debut two years later.
The Dutchman, who has represented Holland at all levels from U15s to U21s, was voted Chelsea's Young Player of the Year in his first season as a senior player.
"We are delighted to welcome Nathan to AFC Bournemouth," chief executive Neill Blake told the club's website.
"For a player of his age he already has great experience in the Premier League and we believe he will bring a lot to our squad.
"He is an international player with great pedigree, so we are really excited to have him join us for the upcoming season."
