Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe refused to blame Artur Boruc after the goalkeeper made a number of errors in Sunday's 5-1 defeat to Tottenham.
Boruc spilled two efforts and conceded a penalty as Spurs ran riot at the Vitality Stadium.
Bournemouth got themselves ahead inside two minutes through Matt Ritchie's strike, but Boruc brought down Harry Kane inside the box not long after to gift Spurs an equaliser.
He went on to spill two shots that lead to goals from Erik Lamela and Kane once again, with other jittery moments also littering his performance.
But Howe said his team as a whole had to take responsibility for the result.
"[The goals] were self-inflicted, that's evident. There won't be fingers pointed and we take collective responsibility," Howe said.
"But there is a need going forward that we can't keep giving goals away. We've given teams goals even in the games we've drawn and won.
"Of course, you don't want to see any of your players criticised. They give their all and have had incredible success. I said to the players afterwards, during the success everyone was saying how good you are. Take no notice. It's the same when things are going this way."
Boruc missed last weekend's defeat to Man City after picking up an injury in the warm-up and Howe indicated that he may have not been completely fit heading into today's game.
"He's strong mentally and resolute when it comes to errors," Howe added.
"He's seen it and done it. There's a need for the team to eradicate those errors and our goalkeepers rediscover their form.
"He's declared himself fit late in the week. Maybe he's not 100 per cent, but he's kicking with both legs no problem. How much that hampered his performance, I don't know."
