Chris Hughton said Brighton's 1-1 draw with Everton felt like a defeat, after his side let their lead slip in the final minute of the match.
Anthony Knockaert struck in the 82nd minute of Sunday's Premier League clash to put the home side on course for victory - but they were denied when Bruno conceded a 90th-minute penalty, which was scored by Wayne Rooney.
And the Brighton boss was frustrated as he felt his side had done enough to earn all three points.
"I'm incredibly disappointed," he told Sky Sports. "At this moment because of the timing of the goals it feels more like a defeat than a draw.
"I know we are the home side, but I thought we were good value once we took the lead and it's incredibly disappointing - particularly in the manner how we conceded.
"We were up against a very good Everton side. They can make changes and have got real good quality, but at that stage I still couldn't see them scoring.
"We had to defend well through good periods in both halves, particularly in the second half, but as the game opened up I genuinely felt we were the side that might capitalise on it - and we did."
The penalty was awarded by referee Michael Oliver when Bruno elbowed Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the face from an Everton free-kick.
But Hughton had no complaints about the decision when asked about it after the match.
"I've got no problems with the penalty," he said.
"I think Bruno has tried to impede him. The referee was very close and saw the incident so I have no problems with the giving of the penalty.
"All I do hope is that when it's on the other side - and we've had a few penalty claims in these games - that it evens itself out a little bit."
