Brighton will sign Ingolstadt midfielder Pascal Gross when the transfer window opens on June 10.
The 25-year-old has agreed a four-year contract with the newly promoted Premier League side.
Gross has scored four goals in 34 appearances for the Bundesliga club this term, but Ingolstadt were relegated.
Seagulls boss Chris Hughton said: "We are delighted that Pascal has opted to sign for us. He will give us a different and new option going into the new season.
"He offers something different to our existing midfielders, as an attacking midfielder in a more advanced position, operating behind the forward line."
The Mannheim-born player began his career with Hoffenheim in 2008 before switching to Karlsruhe in 2011 and then Ingolstadt in 2012.
He will play his farewell game for Ingolstadt against Schalke in their final match of the season on Saturday.
