Goalkeeper Jonas Lossl has confirmed he will leave Huddersfield Town when his contract expires this summer

Goalkeeper Jonas Lossl has confirmed he will leave Huddersfield Town when his contract expires this summer.

The 30-year-old Dane spent last season at Kirklees Stadium on loan from Mainz before joining on a one-year deal last summer.

With Huddersfield set to drop down to the Sky Bet Championship next season, Lossl will move on but he says he has enjoyed his time in the Premier League.

"I have enjoyed it a lot. Obviously it has been difficult this season but I am really, really pleased about the point today," Lossl told Sky Sports News, following Huddersfield's 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

"I think I will be leaving and this was probably my last home game."

Highlights from Huddersfield's draw with Manchester United in the Premier League

Lossl was culpable for United's opening goal as he let a tame shot from Scott McTominay slip through his legs.

But he made amends for that error in the second half when his long clearance was misjudged by Luke Shaw and Isaac Mbenza raced through to score the equalising goal.

"I just saw an opportunity and went for it. I am obviously happy it went through. Isaac (Mbenza) made a good run," Lossl added.

"I am really, really happy that this happened today. We stood together and fought all the way through and believed in it."
