David Wagner rues Huddersfield's lack of goals following the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool

David Wagner questioned the old adage that luck evens itself out throughout the season after Huddersfield lost 1-0 to Liverpool on Saturday.

Huddersfield remain without a win in nine Premier League games after succumbing to Mohamed Salah's first-half strike at the John Smith's Stadium.

Defeat leaves Huddersfield 19th in the table, and after Jonathan Hogg hit the post and a James Milner handball inside the box went unpunished, their wait goes on for the first home goal of the season.

Good fortune continues to desert Wagner, as he came out second best to old friend Jurgen Klopp once more, having lost both league encounters last season.

"If it's the case that luck over a season evens out, then we're going to have a lot of luck in the next 29 games," Wagner said.
