David Wagner has hailed Huddersfield's effort and commitment after they boosted their Premier League survival hopes with an unexpected point against the champions.
Manchester City presented the first of a daunting final three fixtures for Huddersfield in their bid to secure a second season of top-flight football.
But the champions lacked their usual ferocity and the resilient and dogged Terriers dug in for a result that could be crucial in their battle to avoid relegation.
"Proud is not enough to describe how I feel for my players, my backroom staff and everybody who supported Huddersfield this afternoon," Wagner told Sky Sports.
"To have a clean sheet against a team who have scored over 100 goals and are champions, to have a solid defence and create chances is fantastic. This point was absolutely deserved for all the work and effort shown.
"We found a way to neutralise City and hit them on the counter. We used the opportunity we had to collect a point.
"The effort and the shift the players put in was outstanding. There was commitment all over the park, they ran their socks off."
Huddersfield's final two games involve a trip to Chelsea before they host Arsenal in Arsene Wenger's final game.
Wagner will be hoping his side replicate the performance they put in against the champions, a team he admires.
"We have to give credit to City for their fantastic season and what they've done," he added.
"This is an outstanding team so big credit and praise for Pep and his team, I absolutely admire what he has done and I'm happy that he's won the title."
