David Wagner is hopeful Huddersfield Town can complete the signing of Alex Pritchard from Norwich City in the next 24 hours.
The Terriers have agreed an initial fee of £10m for the former Tottenham midfielder, which could eventually rise to £12m.
Wagner confirmed an agreement is in place and all that remains is for Pritchard to agree terms with Huddersfield and to pass a medical.
"I can confirm that the two clubs found a solution," Wagner said. "Now it is all about the personal terms. I am very confident we will find a solution for this in the next 24 hours."
Wagner declined to discuss Pritchard any further until the deal is finalised.
The German did say he was pleased with club's business so far in January - they also signed defender Terence Kongolo on loan from Monaco - and did not rule out further signings.
"The window is still open. We still have an eye on the market. Nobody knows what will happen in the next games," Wagner said.
"I am happy with what we have done so far with Terrance Kongolo. Hopefully we can add Alex to our squad as well and then I am very happy with what we have done.
"Was this [Pritchard] the last one? Maybe, maybe not."
Wagner also said Huddersfield are not planning to take Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic on loan from Liverpool and stressed he has no reason to lie given his close personal relationship with Jurgen Klopp.
"I don't like to speak about individual names but one thing everybody I think knows is if there is an interesting player from Liverpool, we will sign him on loan or an a permanent if we have the opportunity. This is why a Liverpool player usually shouldn't be a secret for us."
When asked if Grujic was a "maybe", Wagner replied: "No, not even a maybe!"
Huddersfield host West Ham on Saturday at The John Smith's Stadium and Wagner views it as a pivotal game for his side, who are 11th in the table but sit just four points above the relegation zone.
"It is all about fighting and working for a massive three points," he said. "This is a big game for us. I am so happy we are able to play this game in front of our home supporters.
"I am totally sure they know how important this game on Saturday is for all of us and they will create this atmosphere which we need to be really at our best and to go and work for the hard yards as well.
"We have no points target, no limit. Go out, play football try to collect as many as you can. If we survive and are able to play a further season in the Premier League, then happy days."
