David Wagner says confidence is growing at Huddersfield after they extended their unbeaten Premier League start to three games.
The Terriers earned a 0-0 draw at home to Southampton on Saturday to take their tally to seven points following victories over Crystal Palace and Newcastle.
It was also their third consecutive clean sheet in the league, leaving Wagner "very proud and very happy" with the start made by his players.
"If we were more clinical in the first half we have every right to be in front at half-time," he said. "This is what we missed.
"How we created those opportunities and how we kept Southampton away from goal, this was very strong. I think this was one of the best half-times we have played in the Premier League this season.
"In the second half Southampton showed what great quality they have and we had some moments when we suffered.
"At the end we have this point, this clean sheet and this makes our chest even bigger and our confidence grows.
"Results will help to grow confidence and as a promoted team you need confidence to be brave enough to play your style of football.
"The players have seen, even in the Premier League, it is possible to play our style. We are very happy with the result and I am very happy with the performance."
Steve Mounie, Thomas Ince and Rajiv van La Parra went close for Huddersfield as they pressed Southampton in the first half.
But the visitors enjoyed the better of the play after the break, with a late goal-line clearance by Tommy Smith preserving a point for the hosts.
"At the end maybe the fair result is a draw," Wagner added. "I think it was one of the better 0-0 draws we have seen, especially from my side.
"In the first half - after Southampton missed their first clear chance - we played very good, we created good opportunities, we were very aggressive on crosses and we kept them away from our goal. We really were in their face so I was really happy with the first half.
"I think we were lucky in some moments in the second half, we had a great save from Jonas Lossl and an unbelievable help on the goal-line from Tommy Smith. He showed the desire that the whole group had today to keep the ball out of the goal.
"We are happy. Three games in the Premier League, three clean sheets, seven points and we are in the next round of the cup [Carabao Cup].
"It is a very good start for us, we go on the international break with a smile on our face and will come back very focused and concentrated for the next game, West Ham away."
