Huddersfield are closing in on the signing of Derby winger Tom Ince after agreeing a fee that could rise to £11m, according to Sky sources.
The 25-year-old has been the subject of interest from the newly-promoted Premier League club since the transfer window opened and they had a £7.2m bid turned down earlier this month.
Negotiations are continuing over the structure of the deal, with Huddersfield to pay an initial £8.5m but seeking to structure future payments over a designated period, whereas Derby would prefer as much of the cash up-front as possible.
But Sky Sports News HQ understands that Ince could have a medical at Huddersfield as early as next Monday.
Manager David Wagner has been busy in the transfer market as he looks to build a squad capable of staying the top-flight at the first time of asking, signing Porto striker Laurent Depoitre and making the loan of Aaron Mooy from Manchester City permanent.
Huddersfield are also trying to sign Montpellier forward Steve Mounie, who was a target for Fulham in the summer of 2016.
Ince, son of former Manchester United and Liverpool midfielder Paul, was a trainee at Anfield but was forced to drop down the leagues to earn his stripes, with stints at Blackpool, Crystal Palace, Hull and Nottingham Forest before joining Derby for £4.75m in 2015.
