Leeds United have signed winger Mustapha Carayol on loan from Championship rivals Middlesbrough for the rest of the season.
Carayol was expected to stay with Huddersfield until the summer but Town manager David Wagner elected to end the deal early prompting Leeds boss Steve Evans to make a move.
The 27-year-old Gambia international came on and scored in Huddersfield's 2-0 win over Bolton last weekend.
Carayol, who could make his Leeds debut in Saturday's FA Cup clash with Rotherham, signed for Middlesbrough on a three-year deal in August 2012, for an undisclosed fee and spent three months on loan at Brighton last season before joining Huddersfield in August.
"This is a great opportunity for me to come here and hopefully play some regular football at a very big club," Carayol told Leeds' official website.
"I know the gaffer [Steve Evans] and [assistant head coach] Paul Raynor from my time at Crawley and I am looking forward to working with both of them again here.
"It was a move which happened very quickly and one which I am delighted to have been able to finalise so soon.
"I'm looking forward to meeting up with the lads, I've got my first training session this morning and I'm available to play in the cup should I be picked.
"I would love to make my debut at Elland Road in front of the Leeds United supporters. I've played there before and I know what it's all about. It's a special place to play football."
