Jabo Ibhere's 10th goal of the season enabled Carlisle to come from behind to beat Dagenham 2-1 and register their third straight win in the league.
Christian Doidge had given Daggers an early lead before Angelo Balanta levelled for Carlisle, leaving the prolific Ibhere to clinch the three points shortly after the interval.
Carlisle went into the game with the worst defensive record in League Two and showed their frailty in that department in the 12th minute when they allowed Doidge freedom to head home Joe Widdowson's left wing cross from inside the six yard area.
Carlisle grabbed the equaliser in the 37th minute when Luke Joyce's pass found Balanta on the right of the penalty box and the Colombian midfielder took a touch then lashed a shot across Liam O'Brien which found the bottom corner of the net.
Carlisle went ahead in the 53rd minute when Alex McQueen found Ibhere with an accurate ball to the far post and the big striker picked his spot with a header from six yards.
Tom Miller got on the end of a Danny Grainger corner only to have his header cleared off the line by Josh Passley then O'Brien saved brilliantly from Kennedy as Carlisle made a late bid to increase their advantage.
