Swansea striker Wilfried Bony has joined Qatari club Al-Arabi on loan until the end of the season.

The 30-year-old, whose contract expires in the summer, has made seven appearances for the Sky Bet Championship club this season.

Sky Sports News understands he is the highest earner at Swansea, who were keen to get his wages off their books for the remainder of the season.

The striker only recently returned to action after being out since February 2018 due to a knee injury.

Bony scored 34 goals in 70 games during his first stint with the Swans, before joining Manchester City in 2015.

He returned in August 2017 but has managed just three goals in 26 appearances.
