Swansea have signed Martin Olsson from Norwich City on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
The Swedish full-back, who has won 40 caps for his country, moved to Carrow Road from Blackburn in 2013.
Swansea boss Paul Clement was keen to strengthen defensively after losing Wales left-back Neil Taylor for a minimum of three weeks with a broken cheekbone.
Olsson is Swansea's second signing of the window, following winger Luciano Narsingh's move from PSV Eindhoven, while Tom Carroll is expected to complete the formalities of his move from Tottenham this week.
Striker Marvin Emnes has also returned from a loan spell at Blackburn Rovers.
