Swansea have confirmed the sale of Alberto Paloschi to Italian club Atalanta for an undisclosed fee.
Paloschi joined the Swans in January in an £8m deal from Chievo having scored eight goals in the first half of the season for the Serie A side.
But the 26-year-old could only manage two goals in 10 games following the move - in a 2-1 defeat to Spurs and the 2-2 draw with Stoke.
Sky sources reported he was in talks on Thursday with the Serie A club over a £5m move, which would represent £3m loss on the player for the Swans in just six months.
He joins fellow striker Eder in leaving the Liberty Stadium as manager Francesco Guidolin seeks to overhaul a squad that flirted with the drop to the Championship last season.
