Swansea head coach Francesco Guidolin has been released from a London hospital following a chest infection.

Guidolin was forced to miss both last Wednesday's win at Arsenal and Saturday's victory at home to Norwich with the illness.

The 60-year-old had been struggling for over a week and was admitted to a respiratory specialist in London after travelling with the team ahead of their clash with the Gunners.

But the club announced on Twitter on Monday: "Francesco Guidolin has been released from hospital after making a good recovery and will resume duties this week."

Assistant manager Alan Curtis took charge of the side in his absence and secured a shock 2-1 win at the Emirates before winning 1-0 over fellow relegation strugglers Norwich at the Liberty Stadium.
