Garry Monk criticises Swansea's lack of focus against Norwich
Saturday 7 November 2015 18:42, UK
Garry Monk says Swansea must learn to cut out the lapses in concentration which continue to plague his side.
Swansea have only won one of their past eight games and have collected five losses in that period with the most recent being at Norwich City on Saturday.
That defeat came despite the Swans having almost 70 per cent of the possession in the game and was secured when Jonny Howson headed in the game's only goal 19 minutes from time.
Monk was pleased with the level of control his side exerted but criticised them for losing focus at the vital moment.
"One lapse of concentration has cost us and it ended up costing us the game," he said.

"It was frustrating because we were being patient and waiting for the right opportunity because we knew that opportunity would come.
"We had total control until that point without really threatening them. We were using the ball well, were patient and had a deep block.
"It was all about getting a chance or two chances and then reducing their energy levels. They weren't a threat until that set-piece, it's a poor goal and they're costing us at the moment.
"We felt they would be the ones that had the lapse of concentration because of all the possession we had but we've been doing that a lot lately, it's been the story of our past couple of weeks.
"It's back to the drawing board but we're not far off. There are a couple of things we need to improve and we didn't deserve to lose that match today."
