Oldham have signed defender Gavin Gunning on a free transfer.
Gunning has been training with the Sky Bet League 1 club since being released by Birmingham at the end of last season.
On Thursday morning, the Latics confirmed Gunning had signed a short-term contract at Boundary Park.
"I'm looking forward to the start of the season and hopefully I can do well whilst I'm here," the former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international said.
"It's a good group of lads and I've enjoyed it since I've been in, so I'm looking forward to getting going."
Gunning's only appearance for Birmingham last year came in a 3-1 win over Cambridge in the Capital One Cup. The defender suffered a serious knee injury in the 38th minute and never turned out for Blues again.
He is Oldham's seventh signing of the summer.
