Charlton boss Guy Luzon heaped praise on Dorus de Vries, after seeing the Nottingham Forest goalkeeper deny his side all three points at the City Ground.

The Dutchman made outstanding saves to frustrate Simon Makienok and Patrick Bauer - the second of which was world class - in Tuesday evening's 0-0 draw.

Forest had chances of their own, with skipper Henri Lansbury repeatedly trying his luck from the edge of the box. But, despite spells of domination from a young Reds side, Addicks stopper Nick Pope had only one meaningful save to make.

"It was a great save," Luzon said. "Their keeper is the man of the match without question. He saves showed how much we dominated; how well we played.

"I do feel that we should have won. We are disappointed because we had some great chances to score. We came to a tough place and played some very positive football. We had a couple of chances to score and win the three points.

"I am disappointed because I felt we were more dominant and more dangerous than Forest. Our organisation was good, we pressed well and we generally did well. We had the chances to win the game and we are upset that we didn't take them.

"We have taken seven points from the first three games but I feel that we could have had seven. We certainly deserved to take three points here."

Two outstanding saves from Dorus de Vries earned Nottingham Forest a point from a 0-0 Sky Bet Championship draw at the City Ground.

Dougie Freedman felt the Forest fans would have been encouraged by seeing three teenagers on the pitch in Tyler Walker, Jorge Grant and Oliver Burke, by the final whistle.

"They can see what we are trying to do," the Forest boss said. "They had spirit, they had energy and there were loads of positives. These senior players are leading by example, and the young players are following in their footsteps. These young players are only going to get better with his experience.

"If Forest fans see their young players, their own players running around, they will love it. These players are only going to get better. We have young Ben Osborn coming through the ranks as well."

Freedman also confirmed Forest had rejected a bid from fierce rivals Derby for winger Michail Antonio, who was not involved in the game. The Rams are understood to have offered around £4million for the 25-year-old.

"We rejected it and we have the right to do that," the Scot said. "I have a responsibility to this club and to these fans. We do not want to sell him."
