Nicklas Bendtner scored his first goal in England since January 2014 as Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 with Fulham

Nicklas Bendtner finally got off the mark for Nottingham Forest - his first goal in English football in over two years - but it wasn't enough to secure victory for Philippe Montanier's side on Tuesday night.

Bendtner joined Forest on September 7, after his contract with Wolfsburg was terminated on April 25. He made his debut for the club as a substitute against Norwich City, before making his first start a few days later against former side Arsenal.

He failed to find the net on both appearances, a run that extended with the 2-1 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday but after missing a couple of good chances during the City Ground clash with Fulham, he found the back of the net.

It was a controlled volley from the inside of the six-yard box and the goal was his first in England since he scored for Arsenal at home to Cardiff City on New Year's Day 2014, exactly 1,000 days ago.

Forest couldn't hold on though, as Tom Cairney equalised with a close range finish at the back post.
