Bristol City manager Lee Johnson will serve a one-game touchline ban when Birmingham City visit Ashton Gate on Tuesday night.
The Robins boss was shown his fourth yellow card of the season at the end of their 3-2 Sky Championship defeat to table-toppers Norwich on Saturday, when he remonstrated with referee Gavin Ward after the final whistle.
The Football Association has confirmed he will now serve a one-game ban after reaching four 'stage one warnings', meaning he will not be in the dugout in Tuesday's clash with fellow play-off chasers Birmingham City.
Other managers to receive suspensions for accumulated stage one warnings are former Peterborough boss Steve Evans and Crewe Alexandra's David Artell.
It is the first year that the FA has introduced the rule banning managers after four yellow cards for misconduct.
Bristol City currently sit sixth in the Championship table and could move within a point of fifth place with a win over Blues at Ashton Gate.
